Nope, you are not misreading what is written up there kids. It is true. Mr James Bourne himself has indeed written a musical. What is the name you ask? Why it’s ‘Loserville: The Musical’. We wonder how long that took to come up with that one…

Like yourselves, we were shocked. Shocked that someone actually commissioned the name, but even more so when we found out what was going to be happening in this show.

I’ll let the quote from the site tell you more…

“Loserville – The Musical
By James Bourne and Elliot Davis

Drawing on the songs from Son of Dork’s hit album Welcome to Loserville, this new show has a brilliant and colourful cast of characters – it’s a show all about the geek coming through. If you ever felt a bit different, this show is for you!

James has had eighteen consecutive Top 3 singles as a songwriter and member of the bands Busted and Son of Dork. He has written extensively for other performers, including McFly and Boyzone. His albums have sold over six million copies.”

Hmm, “a geek coming through”… story of your life James?

Looks like it’s going to be an interesting one, and even better still, you can audition for a part. If you want to. We would, but we’re too old over here at Flecking! You have to be between 11-21 (still 21 at the end of September 2009). So we’re leaving it to you young ones out there to go and ruin.. sorry, I mean… take part in a fantastic, sing-a-long musical.

I can hear High School Musical/Britannia High producers shaking in their boots….!
