James Bond fans have been left shaken and stirred by MGM’s announcement today.

The producers of the incredibly popular Bond films have announced that the next one film, which would take the Bond films total to a staggering 23, has been put on hold for the forseeable future.  It seems James has met his biggest enemy so far….. the financial woes of its distributor, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc!! (MGM)

MGM are currently £2.4 billion in debt and are struggling to find a buyer prepared to meet the valuation for the company.  They own the rights to the Bond film franchise and also has a stake in the forthcoming Hobbit movie.

In related news Daniel Craig fans have voiced their concerns over the actor’s James Bond future after hearing the news.  However, Daniel, who is the sixth actor to tackle the role, said in a statement: “I have every confidence in Barbara and Michael’s decision and look forward to production resuming as quickly as possible.”
