Cheryl Cole feels ‘insecure and frustrated’ with Nicole Scherzinger

Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger is not only doing a great job covering for her on The X Factor, she’s also close to her man.

Nicole won US show Dancing With The Stars with Derek Hough, 25, this year and Derek’s sister Julianne recently told MTV News that Derek and Nicole ‘love each other’.

‘They’re basically like the same person, but a guy and a girl,’ she revealed. ‘They have so much fun together and she’s great.’

Nicole, of course, is loved-up with Formula One star Lewis Hamilton but Cheryl, 27, is feeling increasingly insecure and frustrated.

Nicole, 32, manoeuvred herself into the role of lead singer in the Pussycat Dolls and her ruthless ambition is infamous among those who’ve worked closely with her.

‘When Nicole joined the existing band they were informed she was going to be their lead singer,’ says a source.

‘The other girls in the group can sing, particularly Melody Thornton who has more range than Nicole, but Nic’s sheer drive convinced PCD founder Robin Antin to make her lead girl.’
