Kristen Stewart thought Twilight was ‘shallow and not very believable’

Kristen Stewart wasn’t taken with the synopsis of Twilight when she was offered the role.

Kristen, who plays Bella Swan in the films, hadn’t heard of the books and knew nothing about Twilight until they sent her a script.

In an interview with Mexican magazine 15a20, Kristen said: ‘I had never heard of the books before knowing about the project, and to be honest I didn’t have time to read the script the first time they sent it to me.’

‘I wasn’t impressed with the synopsis, I thought it was shallow and not very believable, but I ended up reading the script and loved the story right away, I really wanted to play Bella.’
