Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole is recording her second album after the malaria scare.

Cheryl Cole has returned to the studio for the first time since her battle with malaria.

The Girls Aloud singer worked until 8pm on Monday at an LA sound stage. Cheryl then went back yesterday to continue recording her second album.

‘She booked the studio for a week, though she’ll see how many days she can manage,’ a source tells the Daily Star.

‘But she is not the sort of person to lie in bed waiting to get better…

‘Cheryl is really geared towards making it in the US and feels well enough to push on.’

Recording her new album isn’t the main purpose of her trip to LA… Cheryl is on holiday in the States with rumoured boyfriend Derek Hough.
