This week ITV2 launches two new TV series – one evolving Jedward, the other The Saturdays.

The X Factor’s John and Edward Grimes are the stars of Jedward: Let Loose, which starts on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old twins are filmed as they leave home for the first time to set up home in a swanky Dublin apartment.

John (or perhaps Edward) says: “We were really excited about moving out because we had no bedtime curfew. And we could get a pet monkey.

“But we don’t like being in separate bedrooms for the first time as we have no-one to talk to and wake up if we have nightmares.”

The boys find it hard having to cook, clean and fend for themselves, and manage to flood the flat within an hour of arriving.

Meanwhile The Saturdays launch their show, The Saturdays 24/7, on Thursday.

The cameras capture the girl group’s hectic work schedule as well as what they’re like off duty and in candid moments. The documentary is thought of as ‘a longer version of their flip videos on their website’, but you’ll have to see for yourself if you agree.

Rochelle talks about dating her JLS boyfriend Marvin, while Una surprises her man, England rugby player Ben Foden, with a birthday present of a parachute jump.

Vanessa is learning to drive and tests the patience of her new instructor, who says: “If I didn’t have dual controls, I’d be worried.”

Backstage at a gig, Mollie and Frankie challenge Diversity to a dance-off and Vanessa is chatted up by Siva from boy band The Wanted.
