Robert Pattinson knows how to enjoy a party without going over-board.

It had being suggested that Robert hung out with Kate Gosselin, but a new report has claimed the only chatted briefly.

Hollywoodlife.com previously reported that Robert, 24, and Kate, 35, attended Jimmy Fallon’s post-Emmy bash August 29. Well now, a source has told them that the two did interact.

“Rob DID have a brief discussion with Kate,” an insider said of the party, held at Hollywood hot spot Trousdale.

“He was sitting with his guy friends, Jimmy and [agent] Stephanie Ritz, and she came up to chat to him and Jimmy briefly. It was very innocent.”

The site also reported that Rob was on his “best behaviour” at the party, but still had a good time.

“He drank beer and played a little pool. He was very low-key – but still one of the last to leave the party,” a second source adds.
