Steve Brookstein, the first winner of hit talent show X Factor, will be releasing a Christmas single for charity.

All money made from the sale of Don’t Give Up will be going to StreetSmart and regional homeless charities.

In a statment on his www.stevebrookstein.com, Steve writes: “At the beginning of this year a good friend said to me, ‘Steve, you and Eileen (my wife) would sound great singing, Don’t Give Up.'”

“Though I love the song, I wasn’t in the right place to sing it.  Emotionally and vocally it was a little to tough for me.”

“If it wasn’t for a suggestion to record it for STREETSMART and regional homeless charities, I probably wouldn’t have recorded it. We all have issues, troubles and bad days but it’s only when you think about those sleeping rough at Christmas that we realise how lucky we are.”

“Please support our single and tell your friends.  It’s released on 13th December.  With your help we can raise much needed awareness and money to StreetSmart and regional homeless charities.  You can listen to the single on my music player in the top left hand corner.”
