Demi Lovato reaching settlement with Alex Welch

A report has claimed that Demi Lovato is close to reaching a settlement with the dancer she has been accused of punching.

Lawyers acting for Demi are reportedly negotiating with Alex Welch’s attorneys, and both parties are hoping to reach an amicable conclusion.

“Alex is seeking a settlement, an apology from Demi and a donation made to a charity of her choice,” said Alex’s lawyer, Donald Karpel.

Donald is working with Demi’s lawyers and says he has “faith” that an amicable settlement will be reached soon, reports ShowbizSpy.

“Demi’s attorneys have had an initial discussion with Mr. Karpel,” Demi’s spokesman said. “They are exploring the possibility of an amicable resolution of this matter. We do not plan on making further public comments during this process.”

Alex had plans to talk about the incident in an interview, but Demi’s representatives asked her to wait until the case is negotiated.

“I hope to get this settled and put this behind me,” she said.
