Was 2010 a good year for music? The stars of 2010!

Top Talent

Easily our favourite artist of 2010 has to be Olly Murs. He may have come second in the X Factor (to Joe McElderry), but he’s the winner in our eyes.

His debut single Please Don’t Let Me Go charted at number one back in August, and his second single Thinking Of Me bagged a number four. His self-titled album charted at number two, with the biggest week one album sales for a debut album in 2010, with over 108,000 albums sold.

We’re expecting big things from Olly in 2011, so watch this space.

Adam Lambert is another of our favourite artists from 2010. Adam also found fame on a talent show (American Idol) and, again, we feel he was the real winner.

Adam has gone from strength to strength this year. He was named the second most googled gay of 2010, he made number 14 on the Last FM ‘Best of 2010′ chart, our readers named him the sexiest, the most entertaining and the best artist of the year, oh and he picked up a Grammy nomination.

Others that deserve a mention for doing (musical) good in 2010 are Katy Perry, 3Oh!3, JLS, Cheryl Cole, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, McFly, Michael Bublé and Eminem.
