Yey! Wheatus are back in the charts!

Our lovely buddies Wheatus are set to re-enter the singles chart on Sunday with their hit Teenage Dirtbag.

More than ten years after the track originally charted in the UK – at an impressive number two – the song, which featured on the Loser soundtrack, is set to chart again.

The teen anthem charted at number 31 in the midweeks, but there’s still time to climb so get downloading by clicking here.

The teen anthem has been covered by the likes of Weezer, All Time Low and Dashboard Confessional. Even big pop names like Popstars The Rivals winners Girls Aloud and Irish boyband Westlife have had a crack at performing the song on tour.

In a recent interview, front-man Brendan Brown told Flecking Records about his favourite covers of the track. “The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain and The SCALA covers are both pretty damn impressive.”

“Such an honor to have had that happen, to be included in that repertoire, very, very cool.” he added.

But what does he think of the slightly reworked Girls Aloud take on his hit?

“Liked it but they should have kept my pronouns… HA!” he said.
