Liam Neeson saves dog from gang of stone-throwing teens

As if we needed another reason to swoon over Liam Neeson, he’s only gone and saved a dog from a gang of teenagers.

The action star was a real life hero, according to a report by Showbizspy, when he stepped in to save a stray dog.

Apparently, the lovely Liam was jogging in Central Park, New York, when he heard a woman’s shouts that the boys were stoning the poor dog.

“Abruptly changing direction, Liam charged down a path and confronted three gangbanger wannabe types who were throwing rocks at a stray they’d cornered up against a trash bin,” a source said.

“Liam yelled that they’d better stop or he’d knock the crap out of them – but the punks just swaggered up and warned him to mind his own business. In a fury, he warned them to back off fast – or else!”

The boys soon backed down when a policeman approached.

“Turns out it was the sight of the approaching cop that had spooked the boys,” said the source.

“Liam just shook his head and approached the shivering dog, stroking it while the policeman assessed its injuries – then thanked the star and told him, ‘I’ll take it from here, sir!’ ”
