If you have ever wanted to have a look inside the wardrobe of Kate Moss or Scarlett Johansson, and wished their dresses were yours, then here is your chance! From today, visitors to Topshop’s Oxford Circus store in London will be able to try on some very fancy dresses from top notch celebs. You can then hire them for just £40 for Christmas parties!

Some of the dresses on offer are the following; Kate Moss’ beaded Lanvin party dress, Scarlett Johannson animal print dress by Nanette Lepore and Freida Pinto has donated a pale yellow Burberry Prorsum dress (pictured). The other dresses that are available are a full floral length gown by Dolce & Gabbana as owned by Peaches Geldof, a midnight blue evening dress by Jayson Brunsdon from Dita Von Teese and Nicola from Girls Aloud has handed over a bespoke stage costume from the band’s recent tour.

Other stars such as Naomi Campbell, Little Boots, Alison Goldfrapp, Olivia Palermo and Jourdan Dunn have all donated dresses too, as well as designers Christopher Kane, Emma Cook, Richard Nicoll and Jonathan Saunders, who have handed over pieces from their labels.

It all sounds so exciting! Shoppers can browse the rails of garments and try on pieces from today until 6th December, while the period of dress hire starts on the 7th til the 23rd December. You can hire a piece for two nights for £40 with the opportunity to enter a silent auction bid and have the dress forever when they go up for sale.

The best thing about all of this is that it’s being done for charity. All proceeds are going to both Age Concern and Help The Aged. What great causes, and what a fantastic idea!

See you later, I’m off to Topshop…

It appears as though Sarah Harding from Girls Aloud wants to get into the acting. The singer has said that it’s not the end of the girlband but that they all want to do different things.

The singer said to Heat magazine, “It’s not fun when it feels like groundhog year. We’ve been on a treadmill for six years and need a break.”

“It’s very difficult when there are five of you trying to make decisions. Three might vote to do something that you don’t want to do, that can be frustrating.” Sarah insisted that she won’t be quitting music completely, but added, “Acting is good for me because I’ve always been called a drama queen.”

However with half the band doing different things (Cheryl on X Factor, rumours of Nadine’s solo career), we’re not sure if the girls will be together much longer. Nevertheless, we’ll be intruiged to see Sarah’s acting debut!

Cheryl Cole’s been out on the party circuit following the Grammy Awards this week, she’s helped Vogue achieve there best ever February sales figures, and rumours continue to circulate of possible collaborations with Mika and Will.I.Am.
The girl can do no wrong at the moment, and she‘s even got some famous backing from none other than Paris Hilton! Paris writes in Heat magazine “I’ve heard how much you guys love her. She’s stunning and I bet they’ll love her in the States.”

Despite Cheryl mania there’s good news on the Girls Aloud front. The BBC have reported that the most beautiful laydees in pop have signed a new 3 album deal with their record label Fascination, with the first one due out next year. That’s the best news I’ve heard all day!

It’s that time of year again when a few ‘music insiders’ decide who the best of the best are for The Brit Awards. Surprise, surprise, Duffy is top of the list.

The Welsh singer has been nominated for best album, best single (Mercy), best female solo artist and best breakthrough act.

However this woman has tough competition from Grammy winners Coldplay who are up for best album with Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends, and best single for Viva La Vida. The band are also up for best live act and will battle for best group with Girls Aloud, Radiohead, Take That and Elbow (who are also up for best group, best album).

Duffy is up against Adele, Beth Rowley, Estelle and M.I.A. for the best female solo award.

Kylie Minogue and Gavin and Stacey stars James Corden and Mathew Horne will present this year’s awards at London’s Earls Court on February 18. Among the stars appearing on the night will be Kings of Leon, Duffy, Girls Aloud and U2.

So tune in and find out if she has it in her to win!

Girls Aloud’s people must be happy with Cheryl’s performance so far on the X-Factor, now that their new single is outselling Pink’s “So What” 2 to 1 this week. “The Promise” looks set to give the girls their 4th number one this Sunday.

Meanwhile Leon Jackson seems to be taking his number 3 like a man, and doesn’t have a bad word to say about Peter Kay’s ‘Britain’s Got The Pop Factor and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice’. He wouldn’t possibly accuse Peter Kay of deceiving people into thinking the single was for charity, would he?

Jonny Borrell of Razorlight [fame] has slated Leon by admitted he doesn’t even know who he is. He tells the Daily Record “That whole Pop Idol and X Factor thing passed me by. I don’t understand what it is for and what the point of it is.” Well Jonny, Cheryl certainly sees the point of it, and it’s working wonders for her career.
