We thought that Niall telling the McQueens that he was related to them, and then trying to blow them up in the middle of the church was bad. Or when Niall appeared in Scotland and tracked down Steph and then tried to kill her was pretty amazing. This time Hollyoaks have stepped it up a notch!

If you don’t want to know what happens, look away now! Soon we will be introduced to a new character called Chrissy, who tracks down her former childhood friend Loretta. It turns out that Chrissy – who uses her former name Joanna – and Loretta killed a child when they were 12. Now Chrissy is back, and she wants to mess with her old friend.

A source from the show said, “We appreciate the episodes deal with a sensitive subject, but it has all been thoroughly researched. The drama is about how Loretta reacts to Chrissy’s arrival back in her life.”

We’re glad Loretta is getting a meaty storyline! Although what will happen with Jake? This explains why she keeps telling him people need second chances. All of this drama airs around Christmas time. We can’t wait!!

On Thursday night, The Old Blue Last, Shoreditch, was infiltrated by the undead and transformed into The Severed Arms Pub by Left 4 Dead 2, for one weekend only.

Zombiefied Hollyoaks barmaid, Jennifer Metcalfe joined the congregated ‘Zombands’ including The Priscilla’s, Disco Bloodbath, The Vinyl Stitches and Ben UFO to celebrate the launch of the highly anticipated game.

At London’s hottest undead music venue guests also got the chance to hone their post apocalyptic survival skills, testing their ability to endure a L4D2 outbreak. Guests drank green slime cocktails and mingled with the infected until dawn.

For more information, go to www.l4d.com. The game will be available in the UK from the 20th November on PC and Xbox 360 console.

We’ve always loved this couple so were shocked to find out that they had split up. Carley Stenson struggled to trust Ricky Whittle after a news article emerged a few weeks back that he had cheated on her – although there was no confirmation of it.

We hope you two get back together… such a cute couple!

Hollyoaks are holding an online open audition to find the next female student.

Lime Pictures are looking for a girl, aged 18 – 30, to play the new role of India. They will be looking for someone who shows they have really understood the character and who is able to portray that in her video. She will need to be clear and easy to understand in her video audition whilst still appearing relaxed in front of the camera. Lime Pictures are not necessarily looking for the most experienced actor – they are looking for the person they think can best portray their new character on screen.

Campaigns like this are the one that found Roxanne McKee who had the long standing role of the tragic Louise Summers.

On the website there is a short script to download, learn the lines, record your video, submit it and you could be the new arrival in Hollyoaks!

Find out more information and apply on the Desperately Seeking website here

Here’s the proof that McFly are to feature in an upcoming episode of Hollyoaks!

There’s definately some acting involved. Thankfully Tom can draw on his experience from Sylvia Young’s theatre school. But let’s move on to the more serious issue… Danny’s hair.

It’s been announced that two of Hollyoaks biggest bad boys will be leaving the soap at the end of the month.

Justin Burton and Warren Fox will be caught in a dramatic fire in The Loft, where we’ll be left wondering if they’ll survive.
Chris Fountain, who plays Justin, tells channel4.com:
“I’ve been at Hollyoaks for five years now and I’ve enjoyed exploring and playing the many different sides of Justin Burton, he’s been a fantastic character to play and so much has happened to him! I’m actually surprised he’s lasted this long! I’ll be sad to leave as I’ve had some great times and gained a lot of good friends at work but I personally feel that it’s the right time for me, and Justin to move on…”

Jamie Lomas, who plays Warren adds:
“I’ve had a fantastic three years at Hollyoaks but having fully explored the character I felt the time was right for me to move on. I’m delighted to be going out as part of such a dramatic storyline, my final scenes are some of the most dramatic I’ve ever filmed and I’m sure viewers will be hooked! I’ve had a great time playing Warren and have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the Hollyoaks cast where I’ve made some brilliant friends and worked with some great people.”

We’ll have to wait until the end of May to see the story unfold, but it’s bound to be a shocker!

It’s been a little quiet on the McFly front since the last chart position and Danny’s McCheating scandal. So thank god for Hollyoaks who have provided as with some excitement after revealing that McFly are going to appear in the show.

By crikey, this is amazing! There’s nothing more exciting than your favourite band appearing in your favourite TV show!

A Hollyoaks source says:
“We’ve yet to finalise all the details yet, but we hope that they’ll be singing one of their classics.”

It won’t be their first dabble in the world of acting – we’ve seen the McBoys’s fleeting appearance in an episode of Casualty [see below]. And does anyone remember Just My Luck? (I do, I’ve watched it 3 times in the last month…)

HahaMcha!

British horror film The Children came out in cinemas today, and it stars Hannah Tointon.

Personally I can’t watch horror films, I actually go out of my way to avoid them but I did brave this trailer. If you’re a bit of a girl like me then don’t watch past 0.50!!

Here’s the premise of the film:
“The Christmas holidays turn into a nightmare for two families as children turn against their parents. It’s the festive season, a time of gifts and laughter, family and friendship.
Or at least that’s what two couples think when they gather for a house party with their kids amidst idyllic, snow-covered countryside. But instead of finding glad tidings of joy, there’s only worry as, one by one, the children apparently fall ill. But what if something altogether more sinister is happening?”

We are intrigued by Hannah’s first role since Hollyoaks (bar a Clean & Clear ad!). She unfortunately got a lot of abuse whilst starring in the soap, and has spoken to Digital Spy about her time in Chester in interview to promote the new film. Does she think it hindered her acting career? “I really don’t know the answer to that because I don’t think you can ever say something hindered you. I’d hate to think that because I loved my time on Hollyoaks and it was great acting for a whole year. I really believe that you can do anything and if people have a perception because you’re in a soap I think that’s quite sad. Acting is great in anything you do, so I kind of go by that!”

So what’s next for Hannah? She tells DS “I’ve been doing bits and bobs and I’d love to do more British films. I enjoyed the whole process so much. It was really refreshing to have a beginning, a middle and an end and to really be able to go into your character and story. I’d maybe like to do a bit of theatre, but I’m open to anything. I’ve just got to wait and see I guess.”

Open to anything eh Hannah?
