The 21-year-old is preparing to film a pilot for ITV that will not be broadcast to determine whether she’s up for the job.

An inside source reveals: “We are going to test out Peaches to see how she is with guests and how the audience takes to her. Although the pilot won’t be broadcast, if it goes well it will lead to a series being commissioned.”

The same source claims that like the unaccountably popular Jeremy Kyle Show, the new as-yet-unnamed teen version will be full of “controversy and confrontation”.

The show does have an appeal, plenty of petty teenage drama to mock and laugh at, but is Peaches really up to the job?

ITV is preparing to revamp the format of Ross’s show and is hoping to begin airing it in 2011, either on Fridays or after The X Factor on Saturdays.

Ross was previously in negotiations with Channel 4, but the talks broke down ahead of the arrival of the broadcaster’s new chief executive, David Abraham.

Even though we’re still guessing about ITV, he has already been confirmed as the host of the British Comedy Awards and is expected to appear on The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year.

ITV declined to comment on the reports.

The £4 million drop from what he got from the BBC will surely put a dent in his wallet?

Jonathan is apparently in top secret talks with the TV station about the deal. Unlike his contract with the BBC which ends this summer, Ross won’t be tied to one broadcaster, and could earn the rest of his money from elsewhere.

While Jonathan is arriving, Jordan is leaving. She’s set to quite the broadcaster to head over to Living TV. Why you ask? They are paying her more.

Last night a top TV insider said “It looks like ITV will be gaining one t*t and losing two.”

Jonathan had decided not to renew his contract with the BBC, and instead head over to rivals ITV and Channel 4. An insider explained: “C4 really wants Jonathan. But it can’t spend the same amount of money as ITV so any deal would be for smaller shows.

“ITV boss Peter Fincham also loves Jonathan’s work, so he made an initial approach and things developed from there.”

A source said: “He’ll probably still host the BAFTAs for the BBC and wants to host the British Comedy Awards, which are moving to Channel 4.”

Well Jonathan, you are going to be busy!

The one-million pound deal will reportedly reunite her with her former One Show co-host Adrian Chiles and will ‘oust’ Holly Willoughby, allowing Christine Bleakley become one of the new up-and-coming TV presenting stars over the next few years.

According to many sources, it may not only be Christine’s presenting skills that have allowed her to get such a job. It is rumoured that she is close to Mr Cowell as a source explained to Heat Magazine;

‘She knew getting in with him would be the key to career success. She made an effort to say nice things about him in the press, then she became matey with Amanda Holden – which is a stepping stone to Cowell himself.’

Amanda Holden has also mentioned that Christine joining the team would be a welcomed decision and believes that she would bring success to the show, this would cause her to move over to ITV from BBC.

Do you think Christine could do a better job than Holly?

It seems the words ” You’re fired” are echoing throughout TV land with many of our much loved characters and presenters taking the blow.

We recently wrote about Hollyoaks loosing a staggering 11 cast members in a recent decision by new boss and it seems to have started a chain reaction.

Then came the news of The Bill receiving a fatal blow which saw the show axed after more than 25 years of service

Jason Gardiner has expressed fears he may be replaced as a judge on ITV hit show Dancing on Ice. Although rumour has it Jason has already agreed a deal with ITV for next season. Guess we’ll have to wait and see on that one.

MORE sad news came yesterday when soap favourite EastEnders announced it is to axe six characters. We’re still grieving Bradley Branning, although we’re assured he lives on in adland, but we’re just not ready to say goodbye to any more of our best loved characters. Those bidding farewell to Albert Square are Charlie Slater (Derek Martin), Minty (Cliff Parisi), Liz Turner (Kate Williams), Danny Mitchell (Liam Bergin), Libby Fox (Belinda Owusu) and Adam Best (David Proud) who will all leave the Square later this year. Details of their exits, masterminded by new executive producer Bryan Kirkwood, are secret. Another Eastender farewell is of course Brit legend Babs Windsor who will be swapping the Queen Vic for Panto in Bristol later this year!!

‘It’s sad to see characters leave the Square,’ says a BBC spokeswoman…..But obviously when a new executive producer comes on board they’re always keen to refresh the show and make some changes……It’s the way soaps work, characters run their course and new characters come along.’ PAH!

Yesterday’s news also told of Adrian Chiles leaving The One Show/BBC for pastures new in camp ITV. Namely GMTV and football coverage. However, today we hear that Adrian’s addition to the GMTV sofa will see him push off regular presenters Ben Shephard and Andrew Castle. Now, we don’t know about you but we know who we’d rather wake up to on a drab Monday morning and it certainly isn’t Adrian!!!

There are even rumours that Kate Garraway and Emma Crosby will face the axe to be replaced by Chiles’ One Show co-host Christine Bleakley.

Panto season could come sooner than anticipated if this new trend continues!!

ITV have decided to axe police drama The Bill after 27 YEARS!!

It has been announced today that the Sun Hill show is set to say “Your nicked” for the last time despite a major revamp last year to win back viewers. It seems ITV’s efforts have failed and audiences have fallen steadily in recent years.

According to ITV the series is being axed to reflect the ‘changing tastes’ of viewers, and the decision which will see the show end this year, was said to be a creative decision rather than simply to save costs.

Peter Fincham, ITV director of television, said: “Whilst The Bill will come to an end in 2010, we will continue to invest more in drama programming than any other commercial broadcaster in the UK and viewers can look forward to a wide range of high-quality drama on ITV1.”

Aww where will all the ex-Hollyoaks and ex-Eastenders go now? :(

A spokesman for ITV stated that;

“The production was unaware that killing a rat could be an offence, criminal or otherwise in New South Wales, and accepts that further inquiries should have been made. This was an oversight and we have since thoroughly reviewed our procedures and are putting in place a comprehensive training programme to ensure that this does not happen in future series.”

ITV were fined 3,000 Australian dollars for the crime and assure this will not happen in the future.
