Lady Gaga is set to go head-to-head with Eminem at the MTV Video Music Awards on 12th September 2010.

Billed as one of the biggest nights on the music calendar, the event at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles is set to be remembered for the battle between the new queen of pop and the experienced rap artist.

Both Gaga and Eminem dominate the nominations categories, and speculation is rife as to who will prevail as the biggest artist of 2010.

Gaga leads the nominations tally with 13, including ‘Best Pop Video’, ‘Best Female Video’, and ‘Video of the Year’, whilst Eminem has 8, most notably for ‘Best Male Video’, and ‘Video of the Year’. Gaga has become the first female artist to be nominated for two different videos in the ‘Video of the Year’ category – ‘Bad Romance’ and ‘Telephone’ have both been given the nod.

Lady Gaga interrupted one of her concerts to break up a fight between fans.

Gaga was performing her hit track Just Dance on her Monster Ball tour in Washington on Tuesday when she noticed an altercation between two people in front of the stage.

The pop singer stopped the music straight away.

“Stop fighting,” she said, reports ShowbizSpy.

“Do not fight at this show.”

After cheers from the crowd, Gaga asked: “Is she ok? Are they both ok? I don’t know who hit who.”

“I’m sorry. I just don’t want you to fight. This is all about love and happiness. Only fake monster fighting.”

Lady Gaga’s ex-assistant has decided to spill the beans on her time with the tea-cup carrying singer.

And she sure doesn’t hold back!

Angela Callahan – who says she quit after a telling off from Gaga for bringing her the wrong pair of tights – alleges that a lonely Gaga would make her sleep with her and that they even showered together to save time in the morning.

She says in her tell-all book Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga that the queen of pop was a tough boss and even sacked up to 150 people in just 10 months.

Gaga is yet to comment on these revelations…

Lady Gaga’s former tour manager has claimed that the singer has an eating disorder – and even ended up in hospital several times because of it.

David Ciemny has claimed that Gaga has a severe eating disorder that placed her in the hospital SIX TIMES last year, reports Hollywoodlife.com.

“When I say she was sick, I mean physically and mentally,” David says in his new tell-all book Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga.

He describes being on tour with Gaga as a sick experience, saying she binged on sweets and other unhealthy foods and then would stop eating for weeks on end to fit into her body-baring stage costumes.

He even claims that the wacky pop star managed to lose 20lbs between fittings.

In the past, Gaga has been quoted as saying: “It’s all about starvation! Pop stars don’t eat,” to US Weekly.

Kooky songstress Lady Gaga proved the best songs are still yet to come when she premiered a brand new song live on stage last night.

The Just Dance singer drove fans wild in Minnesota last night by debuting new track Living On The Radio.

Dressed in black hot pants and a crop top, Gaga played the piano as she belted out the emotional track to screams from her fans.

The low tempo song appears to be about fame – including the lyrics “When there’s no where to go and all your friends have gone… you can be all right honey ‘cos your songs are on the radio.”

And she received screams from her the US crowd as she sang the line: “Baby you’ve got a friend and so many little monsters yeah.”

The singer, who has a hit with song Telephone, is reportedly terrified of getting a brain tumour from using a portable device and now insists a member of her crew holds her phone a short distance away from her whenever she has to make a call.

A source said: “There have been various reports suggesting mobile phone use can increase your risk of developing cancer and brain tumours and even though there’s no firm evidence, it really freaked her out”.

“She’s now insisting that whenever she makes a call, one of her team keys the numbers into her phone, then holds it up to her face so when she speaks it isn’t too close to her head, she then listens to her calls on the speakerphone.”

The source also says the Lady Gaga has now only designated a certain amount of time each day to walking, and that her security team have to take it in turns to carry her to various locations.  Well, we’ve all seen the heels she wears, if you can be carried you’re going to take the easy option?

The source added: “Everyone around Gaga tries to tolerate her annoying and weird behaviour because they know it’s likely to be just another phase.”

Pop singer Madonna is said to be obsessed with Lady GaGa and is going crazy to get her on board for her latest world tour.

The ‘Material Girl’ hitmaker wants the singer to open for her next year.

“Madonna is absolutely obsessed with Gaga,” News of The World quoted a source as saying.

“She thinks she is the most cutting-edge star to come out of pop in ages and desperately wants to work with her.

“Basically Gaga can name her price,” the source added.

Madonna has only just finished her Sticky ‘N’ Sweet tour but is already locked into another deal with promoters, and plans are in full swing.

Pop star Britney Spears is no more the Twitter queen. Her fellow singer Lady Gaga now rules the microblogging site with the maximum number of fans.

Nearly three-months after Spears usurped the most-followed Twitter user crown from Ashton Kutcher, the pop singer lost the title to Lady Gaga.

On Saturday, Gaga surged into the lead, netting 5,694,147 followers to Britney’s 5,685,390 — a difference of nearly 9,000 users, reports accesshollywood.com

Lady Gaga broke from her usual ‘Poker Face’ after learning the news, posting a Twitpic of herself with the rock band Kiss, and Tweeting, ‘Kiss the Queen’.

In a recent interview, Lady GaGa laid bare that she’s nearly done with her new album since she can’t stop writing wonderful songs and making irresistible music, so she might release another album.

These were her exact words, “I know I told everybody my album was done, which it kinda is done, but I can’t stop writing music. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I might have to put out two records.”

Lady GaGa said that she draws information from the overturning of Proposition 8 in California.

For those of you who don’t know what Proposition 8 is – it’s the law that prohibits same sex couples to get married.

Lady GaGa said that the new started a revolution inside her, it was like a gunshot that set us all into chaos and it seems that it can happen to every state now, so she felt she needed to do something for the people affected, so she went to her studio and started writing songs.

Lady Gaga said: “I felt like it was a revolution, like a gunshot went off, like it set us all into rotation, it was so exciting when it happened because it, for me, was a moment that indicated that it could happen in every state now. I was so happy and I went into the studio and kept writing.”

Lady Gaga’s new album will be “shocking, shocking shocking”, according to its producer.

RedOne, who is behind some of the star’s biggest hits, said the new material would be a pleasant surprise for fans.

“You never want to go too far from your brand – people love you for a reason,” he told Billboard.

“But we still want to give them something with a kick, something that makes them say, ‘Oh my God! We didn’t expect this!’”

Lady Gaga said recently that she had already recorded most of the follow-up to her debut album ‘The Fame’ and mini album ‘The Fame Monster’.

The album is due to be released early in 2011. The singer is currently on her Monster Ball tour.
