When it was initially announced that the 1990 Oscar-winning film Ghost was to be reincarnated into a West End show, the overall assumption was that there was no chance it would be anything more than a gimmicky take on a well-loved but, ultimately, cheesy classic. Fast-forward three years and Ghost the Musical has not only enjoyed successful runs on Broadway and in the West End but has also recently embarked on it’s first even national tour of the UK. Priscilla Queen of the Desert Review, Edinburgh Playhouse

With its unusual source material and non-generic approach to mainstream musical theatre, CATS should never have been destined to have universal appeal. However, as the fantastic touring cast proved in Edinburgh last night, CATS has actually come to be a shining example of how musicals need not be ‘dumbed down’ with easy-to-follow dialogue for them to be both relatable and enjoyable for a widespread audience. The Disney-obsessed little girls inside of us could barely contain our excitement when we were invited to the exclusive press launch of The Lion King in Edinburgh this week. Soul Sister Review – Edinburgh Festival Theatre

The road to superstardom never did run smoothly and nobody knew that better than Tina Turner.
