Well it’s about time a larger lady graced the contents of Vogue magazine… bet you didn’t see this one coming!
The singer was approached by the magazine’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and later claimed that meeting her was “just like The Devil Wears Prada.”
“I went to go do my final fitting for the shoot. Then Anna Wintour wanted to meet me, so I was waiting in the hallway,” she told AP Television.
“It was just like The Devil Wears Prada. It was amazing. I was really frightened and I went in and she was so nice.
“She was like: ‘What labels do you like?’ I was trying to make up these designers that I was quite sure I had read in Vogue or something before.”
However, there are some places that have labelled this news as ‘shocking’, and ‘Vogue’s last attempt’. We find this rather rude, as we quite like Adele. Just because she’s a bigger lady, this seems to be frowned upon for Vogue.
We say, good on you Vogue! At a time where ladies with a bit of meat of them are being criticised (Jessica Simpson for example), you are the one magazine that we didn’t think would be going against this size 0 debate. Who wants skin and bones anyway?!
