Dakota Fanning was “starstruck” when she met Britney Spears

The actress was apparently over the moon to meet Spears.

The 17-year-old who currently plays Jane in the Twilight movies, spoke to Jay Leno about her concerts as a child.

She told him during an interview, “Alicia Keys was my first concert, it was a little bit after we filmed the Secret Life Of Bees. Then I went to a Britney Spears concert with my best friend and her sister. I was so excited!

“[Britney] was really the first famous person I met when I came to California,” added Fanning, who also starred as Cherie Currie in ‘The Runaways’.

“I met her in a store when I was 6 years old and I was so starstruck by her and I just loved her so much. Getting to go to her ‘Circus’ tour was like reliving [that].”

Good to know the rich and famous get starstruck too!
