The actress (and niece of Julia Roberts) was forced to delete her Twitter account, after suffering abuse at the hands of certain Twilight fans.

Emma appeared on The Tonight Show with Twilight star Robert Pattinson, and host Jay Leno asked her if she was on Team Edward or Team Jacob.

Despite sitting next to Robert, who plays Edward Cullen in the Twilight films, Emma announced that she was Team Jacob – preferring the character played by Taylor Lautner.

Turning to Robert, Emma said: ‘I’m sorry but I’m going to have to say Team Jacob. Your hair looks wonderful in person, but I have to stick with Team Jacob, I’m sorry.’

‘Well, you just revealed yourself to have absolutely no taste.’ Robert jokingly replied.

After the show Emma tweeted: ‘Rob Pattinson is so nice! I was slightly disappointed his skin wasn’t glittering and the song “Wild Thing” didn’t start when he shook my hand.’, however it was too late – she’d already upset Team Edward.

After a series of abusive tweets, Emma was forced to delete her Twitter. Poor Emma!
