Konnie Huq gets X Factor presenting job

The Blue Peter presenter will be comforting the losers and congratulating the winners on the hit reality TV show.

Konnie is over the moon about getting the presenting job which used to belong to Holly Willoughby. She said, “I am delighted to be joining The Xtra Factor team. It’s amazing to be a part of one of the most popular and well-loved shows on television and I can’t wait to get started.”

Even Holly is happy for her! She tweeted today: “Thanks 4 all your amazing messages, although women can multitask it would have been impossible, konnie will have a blast, its a great show.x”

Well I’m glad we’re all happy. But, erm… is it just me that finds Konnie slightly irritating?!
