Vanessa Hudgens turns down Buffy The Vampire Slayer role

Vanessa Hudgens has reportedly turned down a role in the remake of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

The High School Musical star was apparently offered a lead role along side original cast member Sarah Michelle Gellar – but decided it was not for her.

“She felt that with Twilight still so massive, Buffy would not be the best option right now,” a spy told Pop Crunch. “The idea was to have Sarah back but with Vanessa as a fresh, new character.”

The project has apparently been shelved for now.
