Angelina joined the Twitter crowd! But don’t get too excited… she’s locked her account.
The Hollywood star declared cyber war after an alleged imposter took over her name on the micro blogging site.
The actress demanded the account be shut down and seized it for herself.
While Jolie is now online, don’t expect to see her challenging Britney Spears and Ashton Kutcher with their regular gobbledegook posts as she is apparently refusing to follow other users into her private life.
‘Jolie had her people obtain the account for her so no one else could have that username,’ an insider said on Ange’s Twitter coup.
‘There was actually someone else using @AngelinaJolie but Angelina requested the account suspended and took it over,’ said the insider.
For now, when you search her, an unwelcoming message greets you that reads: ‘This account has been locked. NO followers are currently being accepted.’
While Jolie, 35, appears to be a little shy to have a tweet for now, sources say she may unfreeze the account towards the end of the year and use it for her tireless campaigning.
‘If she uses it, it will be for charity-related items or sharing links,’ the insider told America’s US Magazine.
