Daniel Radcliffe skips Comic-Con for birthday

Daniel Radcliffe gave Comic-Con a miss – because it was his birthday.

He may have disappointed Harry Potter fans who had camped out to see him on the Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows panel at the fan convention, but you only turn 21 once.

‘I apologise to all the wishful thinkers for my disappointing non-presence,’ he said.

‘I was in Saint Petersburg for my birthday, which is probably the most beautiful, the most incredible, wonderful place I’ve ever been in my life. It really is absolutely amazing. I went with two friends and it was brilliant.’
