J-Lo to replace Ellen on American Idol

Jennifer Lopez is reportedly poised to take Ellen DeGeneres’ place on American Idol.

Ellen DeGeneres, the American comedian who replaced Paul Abdul on American Idol, is leaving after admitting the job didn’t “fit” her.

Although J-Lo hasn’t made an official announcement about taking the job it is believed that the deal has already been done. And at least the job didn’t go to Perez Hilton which actually felt like a possibility for a while.

The producers will also have to fill the seat vacated by Simon Cowell who left the show after nine series to focus on other projects.
