She was once nominated for mother of the year but Katie Price will get no prizes for her latest gaff after claiming children are better off if their parents break up.

The glamour model appearing on This Morning, said: ‘Any child that has parents who are divorced are lucky. They get extra Christmas presents, birthday presents and extra trips.’

Price then told hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford she was glad she split from Peter Andre while her kids Harvey, seven, Junior, five and three-year-old Princess, were still young so they will ‘forget’ about it.

Price, 32, said: ‘I revert back to when my mum and dad split up. I was three or four and I can’t even remember it. So really it was good.’
