The celebs are giving back (for a varied price) to their fans, giving them a place to hang out and meet other fans, and get their hands on exclusive extras.

American Idol legend Adam Lambert has launched his fansite AdamLambertFans.com.

On the site Glamberts can browse news, photos and videos and even post blogs. Depending on which package you pay for, you can bag all sorts of extras.

You can get your hands on everything from merch discounts to ticket pre-sales to meet-and-greets with Adam himself.

Brit band McFly are also launching a fan community soon called Super City – a 3D virtual world, where fans can interact directly with the band.

Fans will be able to share photos and images as well as view exclusive content and play games.

There will also be the opportunity to earn points to exchange for money-can’t-buy prizes such as priority entry to gigs, signed merchandise and even phone calls from the boys themselves.
