Cheryl Cole is ‘stronger after malaria’

Simon Cowell has revealed that Cheryl Cole’s battle with malaria has made her stronger.

Speaking to The Sun, the music mogul claimed that the Girls Aloud star’s ordeal after contracting the tropical illness has given Chezza a new outlook on life and is ‘counting her blessing’s after recovering from the disease.

Cowell explained: “No one wants to go through malaria, but she has definitely come out with a different perspective and I think you will see a sharp, focused Cheryl Cole when she returns to the X Factor.”

“She seems more focused and it was a wake-up call to her. At the end of the day your health is the most important thing.”

The talent show judge added that Chezza, who recently divorced cheating hubby Ashley Cole kept in ‘close-contact’ with him throughout her illness.

Simon added: “We have spoken a lot. I think she is going to appreciate what she has and enjoy it more.”

The 3 Words singer is now back in the UK where she is said to be busy filming the Judges’ Houses stage on the competition.
