It has once again been claimed that Robert Pattinson was nearly crushed by an elephant on the set of Water For Elephants.

According to OK!, Rosie, a four-ton elephant, “tried to sit on him” during filming.

“Robert slid right down the elephant’s back,” wrote OK!, adding, “It could have been a disaster – but he got lucky, landing face first in a pile of mud. He was filthy, but unharmed.”

However Gossip Cop were quick to rubbish the rumour.

A source close to Pattinson told Gossip Cop the near-death crushing tale is “untrue.”
