Katy Perry and Russell Brand bought $2.7m apartment

Katy Perry and fiancé Russell Brand have reportedly spent $2.7m on a New York home.

The couple’s new penthouse apartment is in Manhattan’s trendy TriBeca neighbourhood.

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom 1,500 sq-ft property was originally listed for $2.9m, a US real estate blog reports.

The couple are due to tie the knot by the end of the year and currently split their time between Los Angeles and London.

The New York Post claims the couple bought the apartment as a ‘crash pad’ to minimise their New York state income taxes.
