Katy Perry and Russell Brand to tie the knot on TV?

It sounds like Katy Perry’s big day with Russell Brand could end up being a ‘Katie and Alex’-style reality TV wedding – if the singer gets her way.

The Teenage Dream star has admitted telling people she is filming a reality show in the hope that a network will then offer her and Brand, 35, their own series.

But the 25-year-old is still waiting, she told Kiss 100, adding: ‘No one’s really asked me but sometimes, if people ask, I say yes. So I think someone’s got to ask me.’

Meanwhile, Perry said her hopes of landing a spot on Simon Cowell’s US X Factor look slim.

She is reportedly in the running with Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger but said: ‘Ohh, goodness gracious, I think that’s probably just Simon Cowell’s way of flirting with me. He is a massive flirt!’
