Leonardo DiCaprio shells out for a new pet

Leonardo DiCaprio has shelled out for a new pet – a tortoise.

According to TMZ, Leo pre-ordered the animal from Prehistoric Pets, a California store that specialises in reptiles.

The 10-year-old Sulcata tortoise is said to have cost him $400.

The tortoise can live up to 80 years old and can weigh 200 pounds.

We wonder what girlfriend Bar Refaeli thinks of his pet…
