Rapper and father of four Eminem does not allow swearing in his home.

Some may be surprised to hear that Eminem does not allow cursing in his house, but Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, is just being a good parent.

In an interview on 60 Minutes with Anderson Cooper, airing Sunday, Eminem says, “Profanity around my house? No, I’m not saying there’s not glimpses of me in the music, [that] there’s not truth in . . . things that I say. But this is music, this is my art. . . .”

“I’m a parent. I have daughters. I mean, how would I really sound, as a person . . . walking around my house [saying], ‘B—, pick this up,’ you know what I mean? . . . I don’t cuss.” Em said.

When asked about how he feels about the influence his lyrics have on his younger fans, he said: “I feel like it’s your job to parent them. If you’re the parent, be a parent.”
