Why Robert Pattinson said no to Simon Cowell

You’d think anyone hoping to have a career in music would jump at the chance to work with Simon Cowell – but not Robert Pattinson.

It’s no secret that Twilight actor Rob wants to be a musician, but when he does, he wants to do it on his own terms.

“I love Simon, I think he is a great personality and I think his shows are entertaining,” he said.

“He is a clever guy and he created artists that he knows the public will like, that’s why I don’t think he could ever launch my music career.”

“I am selfish with my music. I get my guitar and I play what I like, but the problem is I don’t think many other people would like it.”

There’s no doubt that X Factor judge Simon could make the 24-year-old a music star, so respect to Robert for turning him down.
