Rupert Grint wanted to be an artist when he was younger.

The Harry Potter star has revealed that he is a big fan of “disturbing” painters and that he would have pursued a creative career path if his acting career hadn’t taken off.

“If it wasn’t for Harry Potter I’d probably be doing art, because I’ve always been into it. I’m regularly drawing, painting, sketching or doodling. It’s pretty much a hobby of mine,” he said, reports ShowbizSpy.

“I quite like surreal artists, like Salvador Dali or Otto Dix. Otto’s paintings are quite disturbing, which is probably why I like them!”

Rupert recently revealed that he is single.

“It’s quite hard to have a relationship because you’re busy all the time when we’re filming. The Deathly Hallows took a year and a half to finish. It kind of takes over your life, really. So, yeah, I am single,” he said.

“I suppose trusting someone to see you for yourself is kind of a little bit difficult now. You have to learn to kind of see through people a little bit more. It’s just something that I’ll have to get used to, I guess.”

“It’s definitely changed my life, just being known now. People knowing my name and never really being quite invisible is something that’s quite strange. But the last 10 years have been the best half of my life so far.”
