Katy Perry to star on How I Met Your Mother

Katy Perry will guest star on an episode of the hit comedy How I Met Your Mother.

The Grammy-nominated pop star will appear as the naive cousin of Zoey, played by Jennifer Morrison, TV network CBS revealed.

Katy joins the ranks of Britney Spears, Nicole Scherzinger and Carrie Underwood, who have all made celebrity cameos on the show.

It is not yet known when the Firework singer’s special episode will air. The CBS announcement comes hot on the heels of Katy’s double win at the People’s Choice Awards this week, when she picked up trophies for favourite female artist and favourite online sensation.
