Adam Levine hits out at MTV

Adam Levine has hit out at MTV, via Twitter.

The Maroon 5 singer ranted on the micro-blogging site, about how MTV “pretend to care about music”.

“The VMAs [are the] one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music,” the 32-year-old tweeted.

“I’m drawing a line in the sand. F*** you, VMAs.”

Amusingly, MTV tweeted Adam back with, “Sooo you’ll be tuning in at 9/8C tomorrow right? (BTW bonus points if you TwitPic your 2004 Moonman!)”

Adam appeared to reflect on his comments, but we don’t think he was sorry.

“Still waiting to have my ‘Jerry Maguire mission statement moment of deep regret,'” he tweeted shortly after. ‘Not happening. Phew!”

Later, he added, “I may be a pop singer. But every once in a while the angsty teenager in me just blurts out some raw honesty. It’s a reflex.”
