CBB! Day 12: Tasks in 60 seconds

Day 12 in the Celebrity Big Brother House…

10.27am
Today housemates are waking up to a strange new world where every second counts. A variety of objects and props have been set throughout the house and garden. Unbeknownst to the housemates, for the next two days Big Brother will be setting them more tasks than ever and they will have just sixty seconds to complete each challenge.
“It’s gonna be a long day,” Michael says whilst Nicola complains about the freezing cold house. Once they emerge from the bedroom, the housemates look out into the garden at the task props and speculate on what the day might entail. “I don’t give a f**k what happens to any of you,” Michael moans, “I’d rather stick a pitchfork in my face [than do he task].” Frankie starts to jokingly flirt with Karissa as Michael complains to Natalie about the fact that he will have to do a task today. Natalie berates him for being grumpy in the morning and is offended by his outburst.

11.05am
In the smoking area, some of the housemates are talking about Michael. “I feel like he’s my dad,” Natalie says before Kirk adds, “I feel like he’s my granddad!” Big Brother announces that the housemates have 60 seconds to all get in the diary room and all rush to the diary room doors, including Michael. Once inside, Gareth reads the instructions for this week’s shopping task and tells the group that they will have to get “in” objects, costumes and situations within 60 seconds of Big Brother’s announcements. “What about if you’re on the toilet?” Gareth queries.

In the bedroom, Kirk and Frankie are blow drying their hair. In the mirrors, Big Brother flashes up a message that the boys have 60 seconds to get in the wheelie bin in the garden. The boys run to the garden and Kirk slides over on the icy decking. Once in the bin, which is full of housemates’ rubbish, Frankie starts to wretch and leans over the side of the bin as if he is about to be sick. “I used to do this when I was a kid!” Kirk beams.

12.02pm
Frankie still feels sick and is heaving in the garden. Natalie is in the diary room talking to Big Brother. “I got a bit upset earlier,” she confides, “Michael came back very grumpy this morning.” She continues to talk about Michael’s recent attitude in the house and says how it is affecting the house mood. “I find it upsetting,” she continues and says that she finds it disheartening that Michael isn’t getting involved in the team. “If he stays, he’ll be a nightmare,” she says.

Nicola and Michael are talking about nominations in the kitchen. “Natalie surprised me the most,” Michael says, confused that Natalie nominated him. In the diary room, Natalie continues to talk about Michael. “I feel he blows hot and cold.” She then moves on to the “Denise situation” and says “They’re the oldest members of the group, they should know better.” Natalie leaves the diary room and joins Nicola and Michael in the kitchen. Nicola asks what she was talking to Big Brother about and Natalie says she was talking about her concerns in the house, including how she feels. “How do you feel?” Michael asks and Natalie says that she doesn’t like waking up to “negative things.” “Don’t let it ruin your day,” Michael insists. Natalie insists that she won’t but that she can’t help being a caring person.

12.38pm
In the bedroom, the twins are relaxing: “It’s a lounge day” they decide. Kirk is sat in the living area looking out to the garden: “I just realised when I look outside at the trees, I miss home” he says. Big Brother announces that one housemate needs to get in the treasure chest in sixty seconds and Romeo gets in. In the bedroom, the girls are talking about Romeo. “He’s a cutie,” the twins say, “a gentleman for sure.” Georgia agrees and they all decide that Romeo is one of the nicer boys in the house.

Gareth runs over to a beach ball that has been thrown into the garden and reads out a task instruction that one housemate must handcuff themselves to the person they most want to sleep with. Kirk is quickly thrust into the handcuffs and the rest of the housemates run through to the bedroom to grab Georgia. Once they are handcuffed to the arms of a mannequin, Kirk jokes with Georgia: “We might as well start talking to each other now eh Georgia?” The rest of the housemates leave the pair, teasing them as they go. Kirk and Georgia start talking about feeling awkward around each other and Kirk starts whistling. Georgia and Kirk start talking about nominating each other while the housemates speculate as to how the pair are getting on being handcuffed. “It’ll be the make or break of their relationship,” Michael jokes. Outside, Kirk continues to flirt with Georgia and kisses her on the cheek a few times. Georgia then starts questioning Kirk about his past relationships. Kirk talks about an ex-girlfriend who he says he wants to “spend the rest of [his] life with.”

1.51pm
Kirk is still trying to persuade Georgia that he is single and tries to flirt with her. “No, because you’re gonna get married!” she laughs.

Big Brother announces the next task. Natalie has 60 seconds to open a box and get dressed in the swimsuit inside. She does so and then visits the Diary room where Big Brother tells her that in the task room is a bath and she must immerse herself in it for 30 seconds to pass her task. Natalie does this but the bath is filled with bright blue dye that stains her skin. “I’m not sure what I’ve done here Big Brother…I look like a great big fat blueberry!”

2.45pm
Romeo is still in the chest in the living area. Georgia and Kirk are still attached to each other in the garden.

Kristina and Karissa have been called to the diary room for the next part of the task. Big Brother tells them that they must “cause as much drama as possible” in order to be news worthy and get in tomorrow’s papers. “It’s cos you know we’re really good!” the girls laugh and they plan what they are going to do to win the task.

In the house, Romeo is allowed out of the treasure chest and Kirk and Georgia are freed from the handcuffs. When they are released into the house, the twins shout and swear at each other and pretend that they have had a big bust up as part of their secret task. Denise tries to get in the middle of the fighting sisters as Michael laughs.
Kristina and Karissa then start throwing things at each other including eggs and a potato peeler before storming off away from each other to cool down. The rest of the housemates debate whether that was a genuine fight. Natalie says that it is and says that the girls are capable of “seeing red.” Denise agrees and tells the boys that the girls have had anger management classes in LA. In the garden, Romeo comforts Karissa and tells her to “find your calm.” Later on, both of the girls make up and apologise, deciding not to fight anymore.

4.17pm
The twins are in the diary room after their secret task, pleased with their efforts: “I bet that will make the papers!” they laugh, “everyone 100% believes us!” In the bathroom, Romeo is freshening up after his day spent in the treasure chest.

It’s not long before Big Brother announces the next task and announces that one housemate has 60 seconds to get in to the sumo suit. Gareth runs forward and gets in the suit announcing, “I knew I should have laid off the carbs!” Big Brother then announces that Gareth has 60 seconds to get in the portaloo and he squeezes in. Big Brother then states that one housemate must get in the wheelie bin again and Frankie shouts “I can’t do it!” Michael gets in and Denise is then given 60 seconds to get in the oversized shoe which is also in the garden “Now, you two think about what you’ve done,” Frankie jokes and leaves Denise, Michael and Gareth outside.

6.24pm
Michael is catching up with some washing in the bathroom. Meanwhile, the housemates are discussing the twins and Natalie says that they don’t have any manners, such as never saying thank you for their dinner. “Don’t stress,” Nicola tells her, “you might get an egg thrown at your head!” The housemates laugh, remembering the twins’ earlier bust up. Kirk tells the group that he wouldn’t want to be in a fight with Kristina or Karissa as they seem feisty. “Thing is, I know how much they want me, they just don’t know it” Frankie jokes.

9.13pm
It’s three hours later and Michael is whistling whilst finishing off his washing.
Big Brother announces the next task and instructs Frankie to get up on the podium and dance for 60 seconds. Frankie does so but is not best pleased when a Justin Bieber track is pumped in to the house. Michael and Denise start laughing as do the other housemates and Frankie continues to pull out the moves.

11.13pm
Nicola and Natalie are having a late night gossip. As they clean up the kitchen, they discuss nominations and say that although they love Romeo, they wouldn’t miss him if he were to leave the house. “I’m a bit like you babe, I like chaos and noise” Natalie says.
In the smoking area, the ladies of the house are talking about growing old. “I’m scared of being old,” Karissa says, “to a girl, 30 is old.”

Day 12 in the Celebrity Big Brother House…

12.01am
As the clock has struck midnight, it is now Frankie’s 19th birthday. In the bedroom, Denise is snoring and is keeping all of the other housemates awake. Someone throws a cushion at her bed and it knocks her awake.
In the garden, Karissa and Romeo are talking about nominations and Romeo says that Natalie would prefer it if the twins made more effort to help tidy the house. “If we go up we’ll be saved by the public for sure,” Karissa says confidently, “me and Kristina aren’t accepted by older women, it’s a jealousy thing.” Big Brother announces that all housemates have 60 seconds to get in Michael’s bed and they all start bundling on the bed. Housemates realise it is a new day and break into song, singing Happy Birthday to Frankie.
