Justin Bieber encourages organ donation

Justin Bieber has urged his Twitter followers to consider organ donation.

“help spread the word for @alungstory alungstory.ca #BeAnOrganDonor” Justin said.

J-Biebs tweet was inspired by Helene Campbell, who is in need of a lung transplant.

According to MTV, donations for the Ontario-based Trillium Gift of Life Network went up more than 1,200 people in the days thanks to the pop star’s tweets and Helene’s campaign.

“On an average day we would expect about 50 new online registrations,” President and CEO Ronnie Gavsie said in a statement on Wednesday (January 25). “Since Helene’s campaign began last Thursday, the average has been closer to 200 per day!
