Are Busted reforming for the Olympic Closing Ceremony?

Another day, another rumour that Busted are getting back together, but is this one true?

The rumour du jour is that James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson will be getting back together to play at the Olympic closing ceremony.

The Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Games will be titled ‘A Symphony of British Music’, to celebrate the fact that music has been one of Britain’s strongest cultural exports over the last 50 years.

Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Take That and Queen (Adam Lambert please) are said to be performing at the event and there’s even a rumour that the Spice Girls will be getting back together (again), but will Busted be joining them?

It’s a big fat EH-ERR (Family Fortunes style) from us. All three band members are constantly talking about how a reunion isn’t going to happen, with Charlie (who caused the band to split) adamant that he would never ever ever ever rejoin Busted.

But if that isn’t enough, James has tweeted tonight to quash the rumours.

“I didnt know we were splitting up so when people say we are reforming I get excited like it might happen HA HA HA HA!!!!” James joked.

“I have busted reunions with my guitar in my bedroom, by myself, in my head, on a regular basis. Its a real blast :-)”

“Please don’t feel sorry for me I have loads going on, more than you probably know. I Love life. I’m just saying I Loved Busted still do”

“feel sorry for me if you see me on big brother one day…”

“I’m gonna be making music forever because I love it. Even if the only person listening is me. I am free.”
