The Killers set up to headline Glasgow Summer Sessions 2014

The Killers have been announced as the first act to headline this year’s Glasgow Summer Sessions.

The US superstars, who haven’t performed in Scotland since they topped the T in the Park bill in 2013, will perform at Bellahouston Park on Tuesday 19th August. They will be supported by Courteeners and Miles Kane.

The band, who have sold more than 20 million records worldwide, are expected to perform tracks from their latest album Battle Born, as well as classics such as Mr Brightside, Read My Mind and Human.

2014 will mark the second time Bellahouston Park has hosted the now-annual Summer Session gigs, after last year’s events saw Eminem, Kings of Leon, Tinie Tempah and Avicci take to the stage.

Geoff Ellis, CEO of DF Concerts and Events, said: “The Killers’ performance at T in the Park last year was incredible. We’re thrilled to welcome them back to Scotland as part of Glasgow Summer Sessions, especially with such brilliant special guests in Courteeners and Miles Kane.”

Tickets for The Killers at Bellahouston Park are on sale via www.gigsinscotland.com now and are priced between £49.50 and £120.
