5 reasons Adam Lambert should be banned from playing Singapore NYE gig

So we’ve just heard the news that there’s a petition knocking around trying to prevent Adam Lambert from performing a gig in Singapore on New Year’s Eve.

Adam is scheduled to take part in the televised popular NYE show, Countdown 2016, but over 20,000 people are objecting.

“Concerned citizens and parents” have stepped up to try and put a stop to the lovely Mr Lambert performing, saying he’s “hardly the kind of performer to send off our historic Jubilee year”.

“Singaporeans can enjoy a good show with their consciences being affronted by lewd acts in the name of entertainment.

“In addition, a simple online search would reveal that he is well-known for his active promotion of a highly sexualised lifestyle and LGTBT rights, of which are contrary to mainstream Singaporean values.”

All we can think is that these people missed his NYE performance with Queen in London last year.

Here are five reasons why we think these 20,000+ people don’t deserve him…

He’s way too talented
Adam Lambert has one of those incredible, once-in-a-lifetime voices that is somehow effortlessly flawless – he can hit notes I didn’t even know existed! Combine that with his catchy songs and his stage presence and, look, we don’t want the other performers to look bad, do we?

He’s ridiculously generous
Jeez, can he just like stop doing some much stuff for his fans and for charities and for gay rights. Again, he’s making us all look bad with his tireless work for good causes.

He’s more stylish than any man or woman on earth
Too stylish. Too fabulous. Definitely going to make everyone else look drab and plain.

He’s so sexy people might get hurt
*Bites lip* How is anyone going to be able to concentrate with such a sexy man on the scene? Ovaries will pop, grown men will weep – everyone will get pregnant because of all the sexy!

He encourages people to be themselves
Adam was afraid to be himself when he was younger, but he’s grown into a man who is happy with who he is and he wants everyone else to be the same. He doesn’t want a single other person to go through that. Come on, he’s encouraging us all to be ourselves… surely we should all be the same, right? How dare he be so cool?
