Belfast band Bad Fit release new single Worry Doll

A year after their debut song Strong Forever, Belfast’s “baddest band” release their third single, Worry Doll. Their track sees a maturation of their sound – a broader soundscape, stacked with reverb filled harmonies and guitars, culminating in a triumphant final chorus.

The band say:

“The lyrics are inspired by those Guatemalan ‘worry dolls’ that you’d get given as souvenirs as a kid. You’re tell the dolls your problems and put them under your pillow, by the morning your worries are taken away. With people being more open about their anxieties and fears these days this song looks at both sides – what it’s like being the worrier, and being the confidant. Worry Doll is a favourite of our live sets and we always close with this one, we love playing it.”

Throughout June, Bad Fit are excited to be collaborating with Bullitt Hotel to programme a month of Thursday night shows. It commences on the 8th of June with a full band show in the hotel bar. The band will also play a DJ night and a covers night, and have booked Dublin band Bad Sea to perform a show. June also sees the band returning to their alter ego “Chemical Toilet” – an Always Sunny in Philadelphia tribute act – to play in the Black Box. Other highlights for the band over the past year include supporting one of their favourite bands, shoegaze stalwarts Ride, and showcasing at Output Belfast.
