FØNX invites you into his mind…

Emerging songwriter and producer FØNX invites you into his mind with the lyric video for his new single ‘Can’t Get Enough’, which premiered with Clash Magazine.

Based on a lively and memorable night with a friend, FØNX explains, “I wanted to create something moody, dark and visual with fun bright colours. This is the vibe I had in mind to reflect the lyrics in the song about tripping out. I wanted to try bridge the gap between lyric and music video and almost invite the audience/listener in, so they’re watching with me in this trippy environment within my mind”.

Injecting his own creative touch to the video, FØNX reveals “the animating took some time as I did it all myself and don’t know my way around the software, so I had to learn whilst I was creating it.”

‘Can’t Get Enough’, was produced by Grammy award-winner Tommaso Colliva (Muse) and combines electronic samples and beats with indie-style guitars that deliver a fresh sound with undeniable hooks.

FØNX first picked up a guitar at the age of seven and draws his influence from the likes of Kanye West, Childish Gambino, Frank Ocean, D’Angelo, John Mayer and Tame Impala, which reflects in his style of R’n’B-infused pop with indie, jazz, funk and soul sensibilities.

He later moved into experimenting with lyric writing and samples and after graduating from Brit School, he continued honing his skills writing and producing music wherever he was able and playing the live circuit around London and the South East as well as festivals such as Barn on The Farm, Cornbury Festival, Isle Of Wight Festival and Leefest.

FØNX often performs sessions and has become a firm favourite with Sofar Sounds, playing for them around the country. He is also releasing a series of performances filmed at The Water Rats in London and recently did one for ’Can’t Get Enough’.
