Taylor Swift has spoken about her new track Mean, and the inspiration behind the track.

Taylor talks about the different kinds of criticism artists come under, and while a little criticism can be a good thing, sometimes people are just being mean.

“When you do what I do, which is you put yourself out there for a lot of people to say whatever they want… there’s a million different opinions,” she said in an interview with E! News.

“I get that, no matter what, you’re going to be criticized for something.”

“There’s constructive criticism, there’s professional criticism and then there’s just being mean, and there’s a line that you cross when you just start to attack everything about a person.”

“There’s one guy who just crossed the line over and over again, just being mean and just saying things that would ruin my day.”
