Bono’s bad back cause U2 to cancel Glastonbury‎

U2 lead singer Bono attends a ceremony where a portion of West 53rd Street was renamed U2 Way in New YorkU2 have had to cancel their headlining slot at the Glastonbury festival today, to allow lead singer Bono to recover after an having an operation on his injured spine.

In a statement today, Bono said he was “heartbroken” at having to cancel their appearance at the festival.

He said: “I’m heartbroken. We really wanted to be there to do something really special – we even wrote a song especially for the Festival.”

Dizzee Rascal is reportedly getting ready to replace the band at the festival.
