What do Adam Lambert & McFly have in common?

Both have huge fanbases and the ability to record hit after hit, but what else do Adam Lambert and McFly have in common?

Fans of both are crying out for them to perform on hit talent show X Factor, but it isn’t looking likely that either will.

Adam fans even started a petition to try and persuade the powers that be that it would be a great idea for him to perform while he is in the UK on tour this month. Adam is a fine example of a truly talented individual coming from a TV talent show – who could be better to perform on the show?

However, it isn’t looking like Adam will be able to fit in a performance due to his busy schedule – but his fans seem upset that he doesn’t appear to have been invited away, and some even put it down to the reported rivalry between Simon Cowell and Simon Fuller.

Then we have McFly, adored in this country and all over the world, who also want to perform on the show, but haven’t been asked.

In an interview with the Daily Star, Jones said he thinks the four-piece’s management have tried to get them a gig on the show, but failed.

“I’d like to tap into the X Factor market, we’d like to play on it. It dominates everything, that’s how they get such big acts on.”

“I think we should push to get on X Factor but I don’t know if it would happen,” he said.

“I think people that go on X Factor come from X Factor. It’s all about the team and we’re not a part of that,” he added.

So far this year we have seen performances from former contestants JLS, Shayne Ward and Dianna Vickers and tomorrow night will see Olly Murs perform on the show.
