Robert Pattinson: “I looked too old to be Reese Witherspoon’s son”

Robert Pattinson thinks he looked too old to play Reese Witherspoon’s son.

He may be playing her lover in Water For Elephants, but 24-year-old Rob had previously acted with Reese, 34, back in 2004 – playing her son.

Robert told Entertainment Tonight: “It seems like it’s been so long ago now – I remember even on the set, I thought I looked too old to be her son.”

Reese, who was aged with make-up to play the scene, added: “He was walking down this corridor and I turned to the director and I said, ‘That’s my son? He’s so good looking!’ I was like, ‘He’s so hot!'”

Speaking about working together on Water For Elephants, Reese said: “I am so lucky. He’s so amazing and wonderful and sweet and just the nicest guy too, so you can just add that to the soup.”

“I mean, he’s just so good-looking and he’s a really nice person.”

“We’ll probably just laugh the whole time, because all we do is just laugh and joke around.”

Twilight star Robert added: “She’s great. I think every time where there’s a love scene, though, I get beaten up.”
