This time around The Spice Girls won’t be touring, but instead they’ll be performing at the 2012 London Olympics. The Daily Mirror reported today, “They stand for so much in British music history and I can’t think of a better time for them to get back together for another performance. The demand for them as a band is as strong as ever,” their manager Simon Fuller explained before adding that the performance could be followed by a farewell tour. “They will not want to be performing hits like Wannabe in their 40s, but it’s amazing how often people talk about another reunion. And I think if they do it, it’s going to be in 2012.”
Excited? Don’t care? Let us know!

The tour was exciting enough, but this should be interesting. Apparently the five girls are planning on doing a talent show in search to find girls to play them in a West End Musical. The Sun reports their ex-manager Simon Fuller is helping them with the project.
Can’t wait!

And we’re jealous! The Spice Girl flew in to London to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Ultimo lingerie of whom she models for. After bursting out of a giant cake at Debenhams, she signed autographs and posed for pictures.
According to The Sun, she has been offered to do Playboy a fair few times. She said, “I’ve turned it down four or five times now. They’re offering me a ridiculous amount of money to do it, so that’s not the problem. I’m just not ready to do it. But I’ll definitely consider it in the future, when I feel the time’s right.”
Do you blame them? Have a look at her pictures for advertising Ultimo lingerie… we’re jealous!

Today court was a bit like a free gig for Ki (maybe a bigger audience than he’s used to though?) The guitar was to help him talk about the Busted song writing process. He compared Busted to other bands like Wheatus, as well as feeling the need to do a rendition of “Mama” by the Spice Girls.
Owen also caused a bit of a stir in the court room. He was talking about “Psycho Girl” which he said was written about a girl called Kara. Any guesses as who this might be? Some of the courtroom members obviously did as they turned round to look at Eastenders actress (& James Bourne’s ex) Kara Tointon. Fortunately for Kara she was given some support by Emma Griffiths who patted her on the leg.
Isn’t court a great place for self publicity?
