Cheat Again

When we met Marvin from JLS a few years back when he was in a band called VS (remember them?) we though he was a lovely boy, but according to Now Magazine he’s a bit of a love rat…

“They’ve been living the high life since coming second on last year’s X Factor. But unfortunately for Marvin Humes, 24, two of his exes have now come out of the woodwork to dish the dirt.

First, Jaime Jay has recorded a version of JLS’s No 1 Beat Again, changing the title to Cheat Again. Jaime, 26, dated Marvin for six years, but says he ditched her once he made it big.

The X Factor runners up JLS joined a host of celebrities at Londons Bungalow 8 nightclub

And she doesn’t mince her words with the lyrics: ‘Now the truth is out I know we’ll never get back together. I’m really glad we broke up because I know you’ll cheat again. You lied to me.’

On top of that bitter attack, former Bad Lashes singer Stacey Lincoln, 21, tells her secret romance with Marvin hit the rocks as JLS hit the heights.

‘We were together for eight months,’ she says. ‘It was a really serious relationship – well, it was for me. We met when we were both on The X Factor and started flirting then, but kept our feelings a secret ’til the series had finished.’

The couple enjoyed a break in the Bahamas together and met each other’s families. But then Marvin broke it off, saying that he wanted to focus on his career. ‘I was gutted,’ says Stacey, ‘but he’s determined to be a big success.’

That success has meant Marvin and bandmates Oritsé Williams, JB Gill and Aston Merrygold are faced with their pick of beauties wherever they go – Marvin’s already been linked to Pixie Lott, Jade Ewen and Mis-Teeq’s Su-Elise Nash.

When we caught up with him at last week’s GQ Men Of The Year awards, we asked him if there was any truth in the rumours. ‘I’m single. That’s why you hear about me with lots of girls,’ he said. ‘By standing next to me now, people probably think we’re going out together!’
